First Show!

I was invited to participate in the Spring Shopping Event, Appel & Frank! (http://www.appelandfrank.com) On Thursday, March 26th 2009, from 5pm - 9pm LeaCamille's Candies will be displayed and available for sale and consumption!

I will be displaying and selling at least 11 different flavors in small and large lollipops, hearts and jems, pricing ranging from $1.50 - $2.50. As this is my first event, I'm very nervous, but excited to be out in the world.

The cost to get in is 2 for $10 if you sign up before online, or 2 for $15 at the door. If you're interested in attending, let me know, and I can get you in for free. There will be local talents in fashion, accessories and food. There will also be cocktails available.

I hope to see you there!

LeaCamillie's Candies is ready to jump off!

Hello and welcome to my world of candy! I wanted to create a taste that explored both sweet and savory, and began playing with "different" candy flavors. I first began making lollipops for a baby shower I catered. The theme was Dr. Seuss's "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish", and I made lemon flavored lollies in primary colors to match the book. Thus spawned a passion for making candy!

After that, I catered a friend's honey themed birthday party, and decided to make cracked glass honey candy
- for the aesthetic and for the taste. Far beyond my imagination, the candy turned out gorgeous and tasty! Guests couldn't get enough!

I than thought that honey and spice would make a nice combo, so I added some cayenne to my recipe, and poured into molds. The response was fantastic!

Here is a list of flavors I have tried:

Honey Cayenne - yay
Maple Garlic - Nay!
Lavender - Yay
Coffee - Nay (weird consistency)
Honey Sesame - Yay
Salty Orange - strong yays and strong nays
Rosemary - yay
Cherry Green Tea - yay
Jasmine Green Tea - yay
Berry Blossom Tea - yay
Lemon Mint Tea - yay
Grapefruit peppermint - nay
Peppermint - yay
Summer Harvest Tea - verdict still out
Chamomile Honey - yay
Black Lavender Tea - yay
Chai - verdict still out

I will be playing with more flavors and posting results. This is really fun, and I can't wait to share my creations with the world!
